Accurate proofing of content, colour and traps is an important component of the digital direct to plate workflow. While many of the RIPs we use to drive our final output devices do also have options or plugins to add inkjet proofing, these systems cause us to RIP once for a proof and then RIP again to make separations for plate production. This introduces the risk of the job on press not perfectly matching the proof which your customer has signed off due to differences in interpretation such as knockouts, overprints and traps.

The solution is RIP Once Output Many (ROOM) proofing which provides a proof with 100% data integrity made from the actual high resolution plate data.

For those whom 100% data integrity is a must PixelProof provides the answer with it's ROOM architecture allowing you to proof the actual high resolution separations that will then be used to make plates. Think of it a being just like an old analogue proof produced from film before plate making, only we're using digital "film" in the form of high resolution 1-bit TIFF files these days!

All our proofing solutions are colour managed to international printing standards or, using our optional press profiling service, can be calibrated to match your actual printing process under known condition using ICC profiles.
